Pastoral Care

All pupils are placed in the care of a named teacher, and all staff take an active role in the welfare of all pupils.

“Staff provide high levels of pastoral care for their pupils. Teachers know their pupils well”

Our school encourages pupils to be self-disciplined, to be responsible and respect others. We know that we have the support of parents in this regard.

“Pupils’ behaviour across the school is exemplary”

We also work in partnership with North Wales Police and are pleased to welcome members of our local community policing team into school every term to discuss issues relating to Personal and Social Education.

Volunteering

Parents are encouraged to become involved in the life of our school as volunteers. There are many ways in which you can support our school community, including becoming a Class Representative, leading learner presentations, supporting with numeracy / literacy, helping maintain the school grounds or running an after-school club.

Policies

We have a number of policies in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members of our school community that we would like to draw your attention to.

School Uniform

Following discussion with parents and learner forums the school has had a uniform for a number of years. We encourage an environmentally friendly use of our ‘ReUse’ rail, which consists of good quality uniform items donated by our families. We do not insist that families purchase school branded items from any particular trader.

Parental Consent Forms

As a school we seek the consent of every person with parental responsibility (not just the person that the child resides with). Our duty as a school is to treat all parents equally, unless there is a court order limiting an individual's exercise of parental responsibility. If you are a parent of one of our pupils and are signing the below forms, please ensure everybody else with parental responsibility agrees.
These forms need to be updated annually.
